*As our engineering team continues to work with Apple, the recommendations listed below are subject to change and will be updated accordingly.

We wanted to provide an update on the iOS 10 issue that is causing Bluetooth® interruptions between the Climate FieldView™ Cab app and the Climate FieldView™ Drive for some users. Our engineering team has been working to resolve the issue that causes disruptions between iOS 10 and the FieldViewTM Drive. The issue will be resolved in a future iOS update that Apple will push out later in the fall. We will continue to provide updates to users through push notifications, emails and on Twitter @FieldView.

In the meantime, we strongly recommend that FieldView™ Cab app users not upgrade to iOS 10 on their iPad® devices until we can confirm a solution to the issue

Please note the process below if you have already upgraded to iOS 10:

Detail on the Situation: If you have upgraded to iOS 10, you may experience connectivity issues between the FieldView Drive and the FieldView Cab app while harvesting.

Troubleshooting Options:

First Option

  • When you arrive at your first field of the day, connect the FieldView Drive to your iPad and set the active field in the FieldView Cab app. Then lock your iPad screen (by pressing the Sleep/Wake button), the iPad will stay connected as you harvest the field.
  • Because the iPad screen is locked, you will be unable to view the live map, but the iPad will stay connected to the FieldView Drive and will continue collecting data and building the harvest map, and will continue to upload data to your account.
  • When you change fields, you will need to update the active field and lock your iPad again, but you should not have to reconnect the FieldView Drive to your iPad for each field.

Second Option

  • Try to reconnect your Bluetooth® connection each time you enter a new field and change the Active Field when entering the new field. Otherwise, the FieldView Drive will not recognize when it has entered a new field and all of the field data will map into a single field.

We appreciate your patience as we are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. Please call The Climate Support team at 1-888-924-7475 if you have any questions.
